After reading some of the other threads I have been inspired to make bows and let me tell you they are so cute! Im addicted now and Im on my way to the craft store for the third time. I have a girls birthday at the end of the month so I am going to make her an entire basket full of bows. I like the loopy bows becuase they are so easy! I have been working on some korker bows but mine are too thin looking , how may strings should I be using and how long does each string need to be. One sight said 2.5 inches but that looked short to me.

Mine are actually cut at about 2 inches long when I make them...2 inches curled, not flat. If you want them longer, just cut them longer. The biggest I've made are 3 inches long...for bigger girls' heads...but I have a 3 year old toddler.

You want at LEAST 20 cut ribbons to make a bow...if you want it full. If I'm making a pair (for pigtails, doggy ears, etc.), I bunch about 15 together in each bow. The site where I learned to make korkers suggested 30 cut ribbons...but I think 30 looks better in the bigger bows. The 2 inch one I made for dd with 30 cuts in it is too big for her head.
