Now that it's 2007 and Christmas is behind us, what are you working on? Are you crafting/making for yourself or for gifts for throughout the coming year? Is anyone thinking ahead to Christmas yet?

:rah rah: Here are some let's get all our projects done early this year vibes for everyone!

I am currently in the process of making new curtains for our bedroom. The ones the people who lived here before us had are 30 yrs old and have huge holes in them from the sun wear.
Once that is done I need make valances for the living room, and dining room.
Then I plan to start on christmas presents for this year. I waited so long this year that I wasn't happy with the presents I gave. This year I have ideas already for presents, so I want to start on them early.

I am working on various items for Swaps I am signed up for. I just finished a few projects with chipboard coasters. Love those coasters!

when you finish that book, I would like to buy one from you.

I am thinking about giving my try at braided towel rugs. You take cut up strips of towels and braid the strips and sew together, just like any braided rug, but with old twels to make you bathroom or kitchen theme. I fiqured I would make some for my bathroom, depending on how they turn out will be gifts for Christmas

I'm working both on projects for others and something for me. I'm making my mother a sweater (50% complete) in lovely amber-colored wool, using the lace pattern from Hot Knits.

For me, I'm officially working on both socks (from Pepperknit) and a sweater (from Knitty), but I'm pretty sure the sweater's going to the frog pond. I think it's going to be too small, plus I'm sensitive to the alpaca-blend yarn. (Me? Sensitive?)

Then I have a whole slate of stuff to do. Socks for DD, socks for DH, eleventy-hundred sweaters for me…

I'm actually making little heart boxes for my son's kindergarten class for Valentine's.

I make them with Plastic Canvas. And once these are done, my daughter's room needs a couple of framed Butterflies made wtih plastics too.
