This week we are featuring brokedownrage and her Altered CD

You need:
A CD (the AOL junk mail works great!)
Paint
Tissue
Stamp
Ink
Sponge
other decorations (I used colored sand, a postage stamp, some magic mesh and stickers on mine!)
I love altered art! CD's are really fun and cheap becaues you get junk cd's all the time in the mail!
First paint your CD. I painted mine with white gesso because it's nice and thick!
Then I sponged on ink over the whole CD
I took a sheet of tissue and stamped it with a rubber stamp
I glued the tissue down with clear paper glue (could mod podge but watch the smearing of ink!)
I tore the edges of the tisse as well.
I added the other decorations I saw fit. I went with a love letters theme because I had some cute old postage stamps!
To display - this one I drilled a hole on top to hang it up with wire.
Another great cheap idea is to by a plastic decorative plate holder from Michales or Garden Ridge, they are only 99 cents! And the smallest size fits a Cd prefectly!
I even did a large record once, it's really fun!!
