Is it really true that you should vaccume all of your carpeting once a week for every family member in your household? Example...I have four people living in this house, so I would vaccume four times a week...I have heard that from a few people, but I only do it once a week, unless there are some extra messes.

I have two dogs, so that rule is out the window for me. I have to vacuum my main areas daily or I can't stand it.

Why treat someone like a priority when all they see you as is an option?

I mainly have hard wood floors with a big area rug that I vacuume daily. My boys share a room with carpet but I only vacuume that a couple of times a month. They don't play much in there so not a high traffic area except to get in and out of bed.

We were told if we wanted our carpet to last the longest amount possible in the best shape to vaccum daily. With two kids on the carpet it sounds like a good idea, but is not realisitc for me. I try to vaccum two times a week and I feel good if I do that.

I have two area rugs I am bad and only do it once a week even though it needs it every 3 days in my oppionion

I vacuum every single day.

I vacuum the high traffic areas every day or every other day it depends. If it is just a small area that needs a once over I use my sweeper thingy. But my kids are little and the 18 mos. old is a messy little girl!

The bedrooms don't get it all the time.I do like the livingroom to be vacuumed every other day since we have a dog.

It's amazing how dogs make you throw out all the rules when it comes to cleaning!

I hate to vacuum, but I do it at least once a week if not more.
