Our weather is acting up here in North Idaho - it's rainy, windy and cold. I was wondering what everyone else does on these types of days when they can't get out into the yard (other than watch the weeds grow!).

Today I'm on the internet, I need to tidy up the house, and we're hosting playgroup (which will be held indoors).

I'm really missing the outdoors though! I just need to remember the rain makes my yard grow for free!

I wish I could feel your pain. We REALLY need some rain here. We had a short shower the other day but that's been it for the past few weeks.

It is raining here again!! It stopped on Saturday, but before that it rained for five days in a row! I will try and do some more laundry. Plus I am sure since it is rainy, the kitchen floor will get dirty again, so sometime today, I will have to sweep and mop. I try to keep the kids busy with coloring, etc. They have asked three times already if they can go outside.

I have my basement set up with a Thomas the Train table, foosball, indoor hopscotch set, pop up tent and caterpillar tube, and other toys that they don't use every day. We go down there when things get too boring upstairs.

We do computer games, story time, puzzles, play doh, legos, and of course dolls (I have 2 girls).

Then when they get bored they just run back and forth the hallway until someone gets hurt.

We are lacking in the rain dept here too. Last week it was "supposed" to rain Tues - Thur, and then again Sat...NOTHING! I am hoping that my plants will do Ok. I kept holding off on watering not wanting to use the water and then have it rain all day. I did end up soaking them pretty good a couple of days though.

Depending on the rain - I like to still get out and pull. It's quite muddy, but actually slightly easier to pull the weeds from the mud than dry dry dry dirt. As for the cold....I'm in MN, so ya get used to it

It's been cold in MN? I have been in shorts most of the time. If it's above 0 then it's warm.
