I have grapes but can't help u. The original owners made wine and the next owner let them go wild. Now I have no clue. I did make grape sauce, which was supposed to be grape jelly. I hope someone can help us both.

usually I make "grape preserves" I like the chunks of grapes inside of it. I also make preserves from most of my other fruits...strawberries, blueberries, peaches. We have valliant grapes, which are only grown in this part of the area I guess. I am just stumped when it comes to caring for the plant...who knows maybe we'll do better than i think we will?

are yours purple grapes? My original owners made wine with them. The people we brought the house from said they were concord.

We have 2 concord grape vines- that have been at the house for close to 25 yrs. Previous owner planted them. They grow onto our back porch cover each summer. Love the shade they make I understand that it will take a few years to grow they way you want. You need to cut/trim back each fall to help them grow. Their leaves drop in the fall. If you do not pick the grapes they will fall off the vine. Also have been told not to over water. We actually do not water them that much at all.
Not sure I helped much-

Mine used to cover the fencing of the previous owners garden. They provided too much shade. We took everything out. I never purposely water them. I in fact do nothing to them. The clumps have been doing well on their own.
