Cleaning Light Colored Couches

We have kakhi cloth/canvas couches that are in DESPERATE need of some cleaning. I can remove the cushion and pillow covers and wash the throw pillows, but I need to know how to get the rest of the couch clean. The arms are really disgusting right now and you can definitely tell where I've had to clean up certain spots because of the water marks left behind. What are some suggestions, products, home mixtures, etc. to get this job done?
