Ok - The planting is over, now the fun begins ~ watching everything mature and grow into the wonderful plants we wished for.

We are looking to see how your garden is growing (either flower or veggie)!
Please post your photos here so we can applaud your progress! :happy dance:

ETA: I am working on my photos - I'll get them posted this afternoon (hopefully)

here are mine from the veggie garden. PLEASE excuse all the weeds. We were short on water here the last weeks, and finally have caught up, which means the weeds are going nuts too (YIKES!)

These are my cucumber plants (with my dying straggly tomatoes in the background).

This is my corn (if you can find it amongst the weeds LOL! ~ It's slightly taller)

and this is my favorite row... my Pumpkins and Sunflowers

Most of my plants are really water deprived. As a new gardener I just wasn't watering them enough (kinda held back because we ALWAYS had the promise of rain, and then it NEVER came). I hope that they all come back. My garden looks so wimpy next to all the others in my area (though they are farmers )

Your cucumbers look great! Mine are a lot smaller. It looks like our weather may clean up! But my husband took my camera to work.... I'll try to get some pictures on here tomorrow!

Kelly, My trick for the promise of rain is to water for 30 min. I have all mine in containers so I set up a little irrigation system. yeah, just wait til u see the pics. I never posted the other one so I'll post them if it's not raining. It just poured here. we had street flooding it was coming down so fast.

I have flowers on all but one tomato plant. I have actual cherry tomato's growing. One fruit is seen they need at least one inch a day (at least that was what I remember). I have flowers on half of my pepper plants. That was all I planted since I had to do containers.
Here's the pics:
first planting attempt, I did move the peppers to different container

Reg tomato

Peppers

Cherry tomato-I have these planted in individual pots

Kelly, don't forget to move your markers out more as plants grow. They will get buried and then when u are out there, u end of stepping on them(yes I have done it). dd cut her foot on one(of course she doesn't wear shoes outside)

Here are mine!

The first photo is of my two different types of potatoes. The large ones are just regular potatoes. The smaller ones are these blue potatoes that I planted much later -- I'm really excited about those.

Next is my peas.

My cucumbers - I'm not to proud of these but I thought I would show you how much better yours looked! I thought MN was cold too!

And the last is my green beans and onions plus an assortment of weeds.

Everyone that posts a picture should come back in about a month and post some more to see how everything is growing!

melsb - I did my cuc's from plants though - so I gave them a headstart. The only seed I did are my corn, my green beans (of 8 only one came up ) and my sunflowers.

I have a great phobia of starting things from seeds, figuring I will kill them, so those are a big step for me. We'll see how next year goes and I may do more from seeds next summer.

Your potatoes look AWESOME!!
