Okay ladies I am going to vent a little in this thread! It's been crazy here & I just need to vent-ya know? Before I start let me explain that I have a wonderful husband & he helps out a lot around the house, but there are some times that he just makes me mad.
From my earlier post you know that I was doing major house cleaning today! Let me tell ya my kids were crazy today & all over the place & I couldn't get much done. The only thing that he helped me with was organize dd book case & help me with dinner. I asked him this morning if he was going to help me & he said yes. I mean HELLO!! Did he help-no.
I try to be like the Proverbs 31 woman where the house is my responsibility but we are a team & I wanted a little help today. I know that he works but I work also, 5 days a week outside the home-then come home & work. Am I just an awful wife feeling like this or do you all feel like this at times also? Thanks for listening.

Big hugs! Mine will help me endlessly, IF he thinks he will get nookie out of the deal. Other than that, not much. It can be frustrating! Sorry you had a bad day.

NO, mine does NOT. I have to get upset and cry, and even then, he is bad about passing the stuff on to the kids to do. "That is why we have six kids" is a direct quote. It is probably my biggest pet peeve.

My husband's idea of cleaning house is he goes into his office (that company never sees!), and starts rearranging and going through stuff. He leaves the rest of the house to me, and when I get upset that he's cleaning up an area that can wait, he gets in a snit over HIS space needs cleaning and HE didn't mess up the rest of the house! GRRR! He makes me so angry!

Same here. Hubby rarely will help out with the house....heck I am 36 weeks pregnant and the only help I get is that he will carry laundry upstairs and downstairs by request. He hates working around the house and even the yard so much that he keeps telling me our next home will be a condo so he does not have to do any yard work or maintence

Now see my dh does a lot of yard work. Sometimes he does it when I need help inside.

I found that DH will help, but I have to tell him EXACTLY what needs to be done, and not rely on him just knowing and doing - that includes picking up toys and paper off the floor.

I will admit that dh does the yardwork, too. The kids help mow, sometimes, but it is mostly his job. I plant flowers and weed once in a while...but that is it for me outside!
