Well I belong to a Moms group and we celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and pregnancies and new mommies. usually with a little candy ro something! i was hoping to make it a bit more personal this year with something made but am out of ideas. It needs to be fairly cheap and moderatly easy! I am looking more for the ideas of pregnancies and new babies. anyway, anyone got any ideas??? I am incharge of hospitality so this is my department!!! Thanks!

What kind of crafts can you do? Can you crochet or knit. You could make a little baby washcloth and then include a small bottle (even trial size) of baby wash.

I got some crocheted was cloths at my shower and I love them. They are soft and pretty and a little larger than the traditional baby washcloth.

I am guessing you are on a small budget so here are some suggestions.

How about a Baby Bottle filled with candy or inexpensive baby items (wash cloth, soap, sponge).

For pregnancies - how about a humerous pregnancy emergency kit made with little items from the dollar store.

If you or anyone does cards, you could make some card sets to give out.

I will keep thinking and post if I come up with any more.

Oooh the pregnancy survival kit sounds like a great idea. Include things like Tums, eye mask, a journal to vent frustrations and describe things they are feeling, small toy to occupy time like a stress ball or something. The dollar store would be great for these things.

If any of your members sew, how about making a caddy/bag to hang on the crib or changing table to keep supplies, like powder, lotion, wipes, etc close at hand.

for our group, we do a "wipes shower" ........... each member of the group brings a package of wipes, so the new mom/baby need not but wipes for quite awhile after the "shower"

I was going to suggest a diaper cake too. If you do a search, you'll find some directions I posted a few months back on diaper cakes.
