My 18 month old found a pen and decorated the walls for me. It is on painted walls and wallpaper. I do not know what kind of paint is on the walls-I would assume cheap, so I am afraid to take off the paint if I use something too stronge. Any advice on what to use-homemade cleaner or store bought. Thank you.

Hairspray takes ink off. Try it in a hidden spot to make sure there's not a spot when it dries.

Mr Clean eraser is my saving grace...HOWEVER...if you use it on builders paint it WILL leave behind a mark (looks like a wet spot on the wall) so I would test it first.

My little one took a ball point pen to our wall not too long ago. The magic eraser didnt work. Neither did hairspray. I did some research online and what finally worked was rubbing alcohol. But be careful to use as little as possible because it did affect the paintjob. You can't notice it from far but you can see it up close. Its hard to explain but we have a textured wall. Its like it started to dissolve the paint and smooth out the texture. Its not too bad and I would definitely use the alcohol again if I had too. Good luck.

i've had quite a few drawing in ink...depending on the pen and ink, alcohol, hairspray, magic eraser and a regular eraser have all worked. give each one a shot. A few I had to touch up the paint afterward...but not a big deal because we keep extra for that.

Good luck!

Nail polish remover may work but test in a hidden spot first.
