Just curious. I tried them this year, and only have two melons. I don't know if there are some tips I should be following, or if that's just the way it is. The kind I planted is called Sugar Baby. We had one of them yesterday ~ and it was DELICIOUS ~ I just wish I had more.

Wish I could be some help, but we planted 2 plants, FIL killed one w/ the Mantis, and now we have one lone melon growing slowly! We have crenshaws and honeydew coming out of our ears, but just one lone watermelon!

my MIL did grow them but someone always steals them before she pics them ... She likes to leave them till they are good and sweet. She only gets a few also tho. Sorry wish I had better news for you.

I was dh decied they were weeds!! (he didnt know I planted them there!! anyhow I wasnt happy but oh well!!

Yes we are, they are not anywhere near ready to be picked... we have 6 plants that DH started by seed.

I had planted them before and got nothing. This year I planted crimson sweet. And I only planted 1/2 a packet and I have like 10 watermelon out there. They still aren't ready yet. But they are about the size of basketballs.

I planted four sugar babies this year, and we have 1 watermelon the size of a golf ball right now...Not sure how to care for these...
