Ladies, due to being completely and absolutely overwhelmed, both physically and emotionally, you won't see me on the board much for the next week. I have got to spend some quality time with my preschoolers before they go back to school the end of the month, and I have got to get my house in order now that the older ones are back in school!! We are anticipating me going down to Mom's for her surgery...as soon as we know the details of when, etc. I just wanted to give you heads up if you don't see me around.

Now, for today!!

1. OMG....yes! We are going into the kids' rooms!!!!! I'm scared, I'm dreading it, but I'm gonna' do it!!! :happy dance: Spend THIRTY minutes in the WORST of your kids' bedrooms. GO, GO, GO!!! Don't get distracted, don't put it off. Do this one FIRST today...and keep at it the whole time!!!

2. Bring the dirty clothes that you found hiding in the kids' room and put it in the laundry room. Grab the load in the dryer and swap out the clothes in the washer! Fold and put away the clean load. Ten minutes.

3. Den/Living Room....for me, another dreaded chore. My living room is good, but my den is atrocious. I have piles of clean laundry to fold from the weekend, and I also have piles of sets of clothes that are too small for my girls that I need to photo, tag, and hang for consignment sales. UGH!!! So, pick up whatever clutter YOU have laying around, including under the furniture (yes, move the couch!!), and under the cushions. Dust in there and vacuum, too, while you in the room. TWENTY minutes!

4. Head to the kitchen! Apparently one of my children blew up a science experiment in my microwave (never mind that school was out!). If yours looks like mine, microwave a glass container of water for 5 minutes...and while it is nice and steamy in there, use a washclothe dipped in the hot water you just boiled to wipe it all out. Don't forget to pick up the bottom tray, too!! Tilt the microwave back and get those crumbs under it, too!!! when finished, empty and reload the dishwasher, and using the same hot water, wipe down all counters/stove. Fifteen minutes.

5. The Master Bedroom is next. Between running kids here and there with fall sports, buying school clothes and supplies, and just in general being bowled over with life, my bedroom has taken a direct hit!! I have piles of this and that EVERYWHERE! Spend thirty minutes cleaning up and putting things where they go!! Dust and vacuum in there, too.

6. DVD/VHS shelves, cabinets, whatever...if you have kids, I am betting you have some movies that are not in their cases!! Go put all of them away the RIGHT way, and dust that area while you are there! Ten minutes.

7. Master bathroom...you know the drill!! Scrub the toilet (why is it when dh is out of town, the toilet stays clean?!?!), clean out the shower/tub, wipe down the counters and sink, and sweep/vacuum up all that hair, etc. that builds up on the floor. Fifteen minutes.

8. Go grab another load of laundry to fold and put away! Ten minutes.

9. When you head to the kids' room to put away the laundry, go into the next worst kids' room and STAY! Spend thirty minutes in there doing the same thing as we did in number one! Don't have more than one kid?? Well, YOU get to head to the linen closet!! WOOHOO, I KNOW you are excited!!

10. Vacuum the stairs/hallway areas, and call it a day, ladies! I am thinking we got a LOT accomplished here!! Thanks for joining me...and thanks for holding ME accountable for my house even when I don't want to be!!!

I was praying that when I got on this morning, there'd be one of these. :happy dance: After being away for a week (and fighting depression for a while) my house looks like a warzone. I know things are rough for you, but I want to know that this really blesses me! Keeps me accountable and helps me to know there are others out there that are in the same boat as me!

P.S. I'm praying for you all. ray:

Feels great though - I get such a rush from cleaning & organizing!! Now, I'll be able to do just bare minimum upkeep while DH is off the next 4 days. :happy dance:

I spent all day Saturday--and I mean alllll day -- in dsd's room so I just had to make her bed and put up clothes, I washed the linens on my bed and dd's, cleaned the rooms, hung up all the clothes, took out trash, scrubbed the big bathroom, tub, washed rug and shower curtain, put up all the laundry, did dishes, swept everything and mopped the bath, picked up the living room adn put a way all my scrapbooking stuff! Didn't vaccum living room--it still looks ok!

Blessed with 6. I hope your mom's upcoming surgery will go well. And that the way that you are feeling currently will improve.
Thank you for keeping me motivated!
