Morning - as early as possible. My ideal is to get up before anyone else and clean, clean, clean. Can't go to bed until the dishes are done? I'm NOT like that. I prefer to stack all the dishes in the sink and deal with them in the morning. That's MY time and there is nothing better than warming up my arthritic hands in the hot soapy water while the coffee brews and I watch the sunrise through my kitchen window. All is quiet in the house and the day is filled with possibility. They everyone wakes up and the 'morning routine' starts and the day is lost.

I usually pick one day and do it all then. If I wait until Saturday, my DH will help and I can get my whole house done in less than 4 hours. It is easier for me this way and I have help, too!! I then pick a different day to catch up on my laundry. I do load the dishwasher and such every day. But the big cleaning, I save for once a week.

I do it all day and all night, it seems. During the summer, I'm cleaning on and off from the time I get up until I go to bed. I can't let things stay messy, so when I make breakfast, the kitchen gets cleaned and the dishes are done right away. Same with lunch and dinner. In the bathroom, I clean almost everytime I go in there. Whether it is wiping down the counter and sinks or a thorough cleaning, it gets done multiple times. I do things as I see that they need to be done, too, so I feel like I do a ton of cleaning all the time.

During the school year, I clean every evening after work until I go to bed (just about) and on the weekends. There is just so much to do and so few hours to do it.
