Febreeze and some open windows? I had a dog puke in the car once and we were not close to home either, i ended up stopping at a car wash and using the vaccum to suck it up! LOL, gross but it worked.

There is a product called Nature's Miracle..your vet might even sell it. clean up the mess as best you can and then spray it on the area with a spray bottle, you can use a stiff brush if you have to. Should take all odors and stains out. Also works for vomit and other child related problems.

someone on her suggested vinegar and water to remove urine...maybe that'd work for poop too. I'd ask the vet. I'm sure they've had to deal with that before.

good luck!

Try and remove "it" as much as possible and then you can use something called "spotshot" it works great on pet stains. as far at the smell goes....try a good smelling soap with warm water and gently wash the area. let it dry. it is not to hot where you live place some orange or lemon peels in your van and let them sit over night.

I second SpotShot! I love that stuff! If you have a steam carpet cleaner, I would clean up as much of the poop as possible and then steam clean the area...either using detergent or vinegar and water. Then use SpotShot for any stains left.

Good luck!

After steamcleaning, scrubbing, etc. Try putting baking soda on the place the poo was and let it dry, then vacuum it up. This works on carpet with vomit, so it is worth a try. Baking soda has a neutral pH, so it won't bleach out the upholstery. Worth a shot and affordable too. It really does work on vomit on carpet too!

Get some Oxy Carpet Cleaner spray....it will take care off it. Did you find out what caused the rash? My dog had the same thing happen...a rash and a case of the poops. But my pup had that when I was laboring at home...so fun.

Buy a new car?

Just kidding, I have used a couple of the above suggestions with some success but have never been able to get rid of the smell entirely.
