My mil church is having a bazaar in November and I signed up to have a table to sell my skin care products but mil also suggested having some hand made crafty stuff for people to purchase as well. I am at a total loss! I am not a totally crafty person at all. I try to be. Anyway, do any of you crafty ladies have some ideas for me of things I could make between now and November that would be fairly easy to do and might sell well? The two ideas that I had that didnt seem too terribly hard were:

Denim Pocket Purse

Fabric-Covered Albums

Do you ladies think those would sell or should I look for something else? I am open to any suggestions or ideas that you may have. I am hoping that I can make enough to finish my Christmas shopping. TIA

I know JoAnns has a bunch of project ideas on their website- with instructions included. You might want to check that out before going to the store.

Good luck.

Michaels and hobby lobby also have project ideas on their website too. You could also do a search for handmade christmas crafts/ornaments. Since it will be in November Christmas items would be a big hit.

Both of those sound like good ideas. I think the pocket purse would probably sell better than the album, but that is just me. I keep all my pics on disk. (I am a loser, I know)

Another idea - you could make reuseable shopping bags to sell. They could purchase them to carry all of the other things they has picked up at the bizzare and they could reuse them over and over for other shopping trips. Also, you might just put the idea in their heads that they need a set of these so they can use them for their grocery shopping trips.

If you are interested, I can point you in the direction of a very easy tutorial to make them.

I love the denim pocket purse. You could get very inexpensive jeans from your local Goodwill store. I would make some smaller ones for little girls with all kids of frilly stoff on them. If you can try and measure a little girl for strap size. I would also make some larger ones for older girls or ladies. I peronally would want a long strap so that I could wear it across my body, but other people might want shorter straps. I would do a variety.

You might also have floral pins or other embellishments that they can select there to add.

Good Luck

You could make these HOT/COLD PACKS (filled with field corn) -- they're really quick and easy to make (just sewing squares) and are great for Christmas gifts and can be given to anyone, young or old, college kids, retired family, teachers, etc. I'm making these for Christmas for the whole family and some friends and they're both affordable and very practical! You could make up a tag to pin on them with heating directions and multiple uses of the packs.
Some uses:
*hot pack
*cold pack
*heat, put under dish to keep warm (great for taking food to holiday gatherings)
*take it with you to the car in the morning to stay warm on the way to work while it's defrosting
*bun warmer
*heat, put inside insulated lunch bag and keep foods warm
*relief for breastfeeding moms
*headache relief
*girlie problems relief (if you get what I mean.. lol)
*comfort for sick children
*computer rest for carpal tunnel (long tube, put in freezer)
*relief for arthritis sufferers

That website also has directions and patterns to make hand warmers, neck & shoulder warmers, footie warmers (slipper-like) and even comes with pre-made tags you can print off if you don't want to make your own.

Maybe put together some gift baskets of your skin care products that people can buy.
