This is my first year with a garden. I purchased 7 bell peppers plants, hoping to have lots of peppers, and as of today, not a single one has produced a pepper!! They flowered over and over again, but produced NOTHING! I purchased them from a local, large organic farm stand, and all the other veggies plants I bought have turned out great.

Any idea's as to what I may have done wrong? I don't want to have the same thing happen next year.

I don't know too much about them either. This is my first year with them, and they have produced, produced, produced. I didn't do any maintanence for them either, just planted and let the grow.

Probably not really what you wanted, but here are some web sites that may help you out. I do know if it gets too dry, they will prematurely drop their fruit (which sounds a little like what you are talking about....flower but no peppers). Check out the 2nd link, #1 may be what you are looking for

Tips on peppers

Good Luck!

I grew a plant as well but they won't produce in time though I didn't really expect it to. Our season isn't long enough. Though I did see someone at the Farmer's Market that had a bunch of them and to be at the Farmer's Market they have to be grown locally so it is possible.

I've got a pepper question too. My red peppers have yet to turn red. They are the exact same shade of green as my green peppers. Ideas?

Keep waiting - Red peppers start out green and turn red after ripening on the vine (kinda like a tomato). The more sunshine they get, the quicker they turn. If you are too impatient though (as I), you can pick them green and eat them. They taste the same, just not as colorful
