Just wondering how far off the norm I am? I vacuum when it looks dirty Do you have a set schedule?

Don't have a set schedule but I vaccuum the family room (only room on the main floor with a carpet) every night after dinner. The others get vaccuumed once a week.

Same here! It just never seems to be a good time with 2 kids under the age of 4! The older one's scared of it and the little one is still crawling so he's always in the way!

When it's dirty also

It averages out to be 1-2 times a week I'd say

On the first floor our family room is carpeted and I vacuum it almost daily. I swiffer the wood floor on the first floor daily. We have a dog though.

Upstairs, it's carpeted and I vacuum probably twice a week. Our dog can't go upstairs anymore (he's too old), so his fur upstairs is not an issue.

Everyday.

I vacuum daily right now because my little one eats everything he finds but when I don't have little ones I usually vacuum once a week.

1/ Before company comes - definately
2/ When tumbleweeds of cat hair have gathered in the corners - maybe. Depends on when the company is coming & if we can hold off longer.
3/ When we absolutely positively can't stand it any more (generally the one-month mark).

Yay!! That sounds more like me!! I feel better now! Only we have dog hair instead of cat hair
