school classroom projects. I am on a gala committe at a catholic school and they do classroom projects every year. These items are auctions off at the gala during a live aution to help raise money for the school. I have volunteered to work on this...what was I thinking....I am not great with coming up with unique ideas.

I am responsible for 6 classes pre-k, 1st grade and eighth are the grades.
Anyone have any good ideas? It can be something the kids make or items parents can bring in and then I put together a basket.

Thanks for your help!

I always loved the cookbooks that my older ones made when they were little.

Cookbook basket~
Have the children make a daily menu with their parents ~ a breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts. ( teaches them the food groups and about balanced meals in the process) Type them out according to specialties ( poultry, pork, pies and cakes, veggies, side dishes etc.) Add an index and in the back maybe a list of all contributors. 3 hole punch the papers, put in pages protectors. Use a decorated 3 ring binder ( maybe the kids can all participate in the design). In the gift basket add the cookbook with some spices, measuring spoons, roll of plastic wrap, or just get creative.
Anyways ..
Good luck

What has worked well for me is theme baskets. Decide what kind of baskets you want to make and each grade can adopt a basket or a couple or one person could adopt one. Some baskets that have worked well for me spaghetti sauce homemade or not, a bowl parm cheese pasta things like that. Disney baskets just about anything disney all girl baskets younger and older teen baskets gift card(s), candy, i tune card dvd, warm you up basket hot choc, book, nice mug stuff like that, pedicure basket, sports baskets just some ideas
