For years I used the generic/low-end brands. Then one day I was having a problem getting my white shower curtain clean. I had already washed it a couple of time with detergent and bleach and it still looked bad. I had a free sample of Tide w/bleach, so I gave that a try. After that wash, my shower curtain came out sparkling clean! So now I'm a Tide girl.

What laundry detergent works best for you?

I'm not very picky. I feel like my clothes get pretty clean whatever I use. Right now I have a big box of Tide I bought at Costco, but I like the way Surf smells. I've always used powder too.

I just started using a cheap brand called Sun Detergent.
I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I love it.
Regular price 2.99 (huge container) and goes
on sale frequently at Walgreens for 1.99!

I used to use whatever too , Till My Kids started Playing outside on their own more - and I Started getting more and More stains.

I then had to Be careful what I Buy. -
Summer time its Tide , great value or Kirkland ( Dependant upon Sales/coupons) - all marked the highest with Consumer reports- and they are all Good.

In the winter less stain months - I stick with the above - or I can get all or wisk - Etc.

I have to do HE - so My Choices are limited sometimes.
Different stores Carry Different brands

I have to use something "free & clear", no dyes of perfumes or I break out and/or itch like crazy. I used All for a long time (cause I got the giant jugs at Sam's) but now I usually use Arm & Hammer, and I prefer the powder. I think it cleans better, and Kroger seems to always have it on sale!
