After reading the thread about creating a cleaning schedule, I thought that people might enjoy setting their own cleaning goals for the week. We all have different amounts of time that we can devote to cleaning -- some people only have a short period of time while others have a little bit more time. Also, if I actually write a task down, I find that I'm more inclined to accomplish it as opposed to keeping it on the backburner of my brain as something I'll do eventually.
You don't have to set a huge goal like "I will clean out the garage and paint the walls." I'm a SAHM with no kids at home during the day and even I can't do that! Something small like "I'll spend 5 minutes going through the stack of paper on the kitchen counter" would be a great goal to set for yourself. You set your own goals that you feel like you can accomplish with the time you have. We'll check in at the end of the week and see how we did.
I'm going to be busier than normal this week (I'll be volunteering at the bookfair at my dd's library and taking my car in for servicing) so I won't have as much time as I normally do. So this week, along with my normal housekeeping, my goals are:
- clean off my ceiling fans
- purge and organize items in the two closets in my hallway
- set up my Halloween stuff (and purge old stuff that I no longer want)
So, what would you like your goals to be for this week?
