After reading the thread about creating a cleaning schedule, I thought that people might enjoy setting their own cleaning goals for the week. We all have different amounts of time that we can devote to cleaning -- some people only have a short period of time while others have a little bit more time. Also, if I actually write a task down, I find that I'm more inclined to accomplish it as opposed to keeping it on the backburner of my brain as something I'll do eventually.

You don't have to set a huge goal like "I will clean out the garage and paint the walls." I'm a SAHM with no kids at home during the day and even I can't do that! Something small like "I'll spend 5 minutes going through the stack of paper on the kitchen counter" would be a great goal to set for yourself. You set your own goals that you feel like you can accomplish with the time you have. We'll check in at the end of the week and see how we did.

I'm going to be busier than normal this week (I'll be volunteering at the bookfair at my dd's library and taking my car in for servicing) so I won't have as much time as I normally do. So this week, along with my normal housekeeping, my goals are:

- clean off my ceiling fans
- purge and organize items in the two closets in my hallway
- set up my Halloween stuff (and purge old stuff that I no longer want)

So, what would you like your goals to be for this week?

Good challenge - I need this!

I'm starting small...
- I'm going to finalize my chores schedule
- I'm going to start the dishwasher every night and unload every morning!
- I'm going to get the kids involved!

I actually started all of these today... I have a tentative schedule, I've got the dishwasher loaded and just needs to be started and the kids are doing pretty good! My 4 year old put the silverware away for me this morning, swept the kitchen floor & BEGGED me to let him scrub a spill on the carpet!

My cleaning goals are:
clean up outside (deck and yard are a mess)
clean up computer corner (there are stacks of paper everywhere!)
Hopefully I get these 2 things done cause I don't know if the weather will be nice much longer.

I might need to add this to my list in a couple of weeks. My computer area isn't looking too hot right now.

Well, it's only Day 2, so we'll see how long this one lasts! My hope is that if I can train him now that it'll just be a habit by age 8! Wish me luck!

Don't have much time to work with this week. I am going to work(for one of the last times) on Wed. I have to plan for my sons sweet 16. I was going to make a scrapbook for him,but not much time left. I guess this weeks goal is to organize my paper mess.

I need to wash clothes. I have been on vacation all week and was only able to do 2 loads all week.

grout the tiles on fri nite for the new hearth

wrestle the lab into the bath and attempt to keep her there long enough to get clean

finish setting up the acrylic (fake water) into vases for the gold dipped roses
