I want to buy some of those cork tiles that you can put up on your walls and stick things to. I bought a pack at Michael's, but they are so thin (maybe a quarter inch) a standard push pin goes right through them into the wall.

Any ideas where I can buy thicker tiles? My google search has not been too helpful- the thickness is not normally listed.

My sisters had those on their wall when we were young. My dad just took a piece of plywood board, cut it too the size he wanted the entire cork layout to be and then stuck the corks on that. Then, he hung the plywood on the wall. That way, when you don't want the corks on the wall anymore, you don't have to peel off the tiles. You only unscrew the plywood board from the wall.

A neat idea that my Dad did not do would be to get some trim board and then line it around the entire cork board to frame it off nicely. You would need a miter saw for the corners, but it is real easy to do!
