So I pre rinse all the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, and then run it through, sometimes I will do an extra rinse at the beginning or the end but I always end up w/ spots all over every single darn dish!! It drives me crazy, Is there anything I can do to help it? i just moved from Missouri to Tampa, FL so maybe my water here is different IDK.....Please help!!

Do you use Jet Dry. It really helps with spots, as does using the heat dry or opening the dishwasher during drying to let out a lot of steam. I stopped prerinsing the dishes so much cuz it kind of defeats the purpose of the diswasher. Also try using less soap. I had a lot of residue on the dishes from my soap. I think I'm gonna try a different brand or maybe a different formula (I use powder).

I would suggest a bottle of Jet Dry! What dishwasher soap do you currently use? I found when i used liquid i did get more spots! Currently I am using up my HUGE box i had from Costco but I only use about a Tablespoon! Dishs have been fine even w/o jetDry!

Your hot water may not be hot enough. Yes, dishwashers heat it more, but our tech told us it's still not enough if our heater is pumping out below 120 degrees. We have ours set at 125 on the hot water heater, but it's in the garage at the front of the house, while our dishwasher is in the kitchen at the back. Our water coming out of the tap was less than 110.

Your water may be too hard or too soft.

Also, check your vent on the door to ensure it's not plugged. Using non-powders can cause it, as can using too much detergent - try cutting your usage in half.

Here is a trick I learned from MS -- instead of Jet Dry use plain old vinegar in the dispenser -works like a charm and costs pennies (unlike Jet Dry). Oh, and no vinegar smell - promise!
