How often do you clean your fridge? And by cleaning, I mean cleaning the entire thing. Not just a shelf or "cleaning up a spill". I do mine every two weeks (give or take a few days) just wondering if that's average, more than usual or less than average...

I do it all the time...I'm constantly cleaning off a shelf, taking off a drawer...I can't stand crumbs or spills in the fridge!

Well...not as much as I should, and I'll leave it at that.

I've owned our current frig for over 8 years and I have never taken everything out to clean the whole thing top to bottom.

I always do a section at a time in order to keep the food cold. No sense in keeping the door open longer than necessary. I put folded paper towels on the bottom of the shelves on the door and switch those out quickly. I notice the shelves on the door tend to get messier than the rest of the frig. I do the same with the produce drawers. Of course, I keep most of my produce in bags or containers. Food doesn't touch the interior of the frig - ever.

If you are cleaning your frig twice a month, I have to hand it to you. I don't know where I'd find the time.

I do it all the time... I will look at things and toss if I know they are bad.. I wipe the shelves down as needed.
