Do you ever "wash your walls, celings"? I'm just curious. I heard a lady talking about it today...said she had to get home for her monthly cleaning of walls and celing.

I go around the corners, where the celing meets the wall- I do that maybe three times a year...and if there are spots on my walls, I wash them off. But I have never really thought of washing all of the walls and the entire celing of my home as a "chore that needs to be constantly in my routiene"

yeah not done here.... I will go around with a broom all the corners and along it tho so that I get all the spider webs down ( we have a lot of spiders where we live) I do that about 4 times a year. But we freshly painted everything not to long ago. My mom use to wash all the walls in some parts of the house when growin up the kitchen and the bathroom she was always washing them.

Well I definately spot check walls and ceilings for anything from fingerprints to cobwebs but I don't get out a bucket and wash the whole wall at once or anything. If it needed it, I would though.

When I was growing up we washed the walls twice a year throughout the whole house. I think it was a leftover habit form when my mom was a kid - when they used coal heat you really did have to wash your walls every spring because they would get a coating of coal dust on them. Nowadays I don't think it's necessary and no, I don't do it - we spot clean and wash them only before we paint.

I never do this. Periodically I'll go around and knock down any cobwebs and wash off a spot or two, but I've never fully washed the walls or ceilings.

I do this as needed.....I weekly clean the walls behind my sinks/stove-I also regularly clean light switches and the area around them.

I also Murphys Oil soap my kictehn and bathroom cupboards once a month(at least)

Umm, no. Never have, I can't see the need. The only ones I clean are the ones behind the stove and the sink. Otherwise, what for?
