We have a Dirt Devil Reaction. It has the same technology as the Dysons, with the cyclonic suction. I really do like it, but I see green when I go next door and use my MIL's Dyson.. oh, my dream vacuum. I was supposed to get a Dyson with last year's tax refund, and had budgeted it into our spending list - Dh had even looked at the list and was fine with it. Then suddenly he wanted a computer more and he refused to spend $500 on a vacuum, so we ended up with the Reaction (and a new computer). When this one dies (which should be a while b'c it's a good solid vacuum) I'm getting a Dyson - no doubt. Maybe I should start putting $5 a month into a can to save for it. LOL

I bought my dyson on ebay for $300, remanufactured with a warranty. It had no visible flaws and has been great. My favorite feature is the the animal tool.

I also have an Orek. I told Mr. Husband that I WOULD NOT spend that much money on a vac, but then I did. I LOVE it. It is incredibly light. The warranty is awesome. I don't mind not having attachments on the unit because it really is so powerful. I run around with the little canister on the days I don't do the floors. It is not all that loud considering all the yuck it picks up. Also, for my free gift (for buying the vac) I chose a car vac that plugs into the lighter, so I have everything I need really. AND I won't buy another for at least 21 years...

I have an Aerus Electrolux upright.... It was alot of money. $650.00, but they last forever. My dad's friend is a salesman for them, and I bought one from him. My parents always had an Electrolux growing up. I will say I love, love my vacuum!!!

Love my Dyson Absolute!! After going through 3 vacuums in 7 years, I decided I was spending the extra and getting what I wanted this time! I love it, and recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacuum!

I have a Bissell Cleanview. It has been wonderful!! We bought it about 4 years ago at WalMart for $80 and it works wonderfully. It is also great because you do not have to buy new filters or anything. They are washable.
