Do you have a specific day that you do all your laundry? Is there ANY way to save time on laundry?

I really don't find that I spend that much time on laundry. I do it as it comes up...not on a particular day or time of day. I check the kid's hampers when I tidy their rooms in the morning and it's really just an eyeballing of the situation, so if there's enough for a dark load, I go ahead and do it. If there's not, maybe I wait a day or two. That's just how I've always done it.
I wash bath towels twice a week and linens once a week. When I change the bed, I put on fresh linens and wash the dirty ones and put them away the same day.

My routine starts at 4am. I throw a load of laundry in every morning before the girls are up. While the laundry is washing, I exercise. After I finish exercising, I tumble the clothes and hang them up to dry the rest of the way.

I wash my sheets and towels on Sunday. I do my big clothes wash on Thursday. I might do a small load of clothes before Thursday if I see that things are getting out of hand. There are only three of us in the family, so I don't have to do as much laundry as someone with a larger family would.
Wearing outfits a few times before washing them seems to cut down on my laundry. I'll wear my jeans 2 or 3 times; I might wear the same shirt twice if it's not dirty and the armpits don't stink.

I have 3 square shaped baskets in my laundry roomthat I use to sort my loads. I empty/sort the baskets from the kids rooms and my bedroom into the laundry room baskets daily and wash at least 2 loads a day, sometimes much more!!
That is what works best for me...I have to see it all in one place to guage how far behind I am!!!

I throw a load in the washer every morning (unless there isn't enough for a load) and then throughout the day, when I am in that area of the house, I will move it to the dryer, fold it, put it away.
I do bedding on Mondays.

I sort all of our laundry in the laundry room and do a load when the bin is full. For me it averages out to about 1 load a day. We strip the beds Saturday morning.

I throw a load in at night (almost every night) and then dry it in the morning. Then after the kids are on the bus I fold it and put it away. I got in the habit of the late night and early morning laundry when we had off-peak rates for our utilites and stayed with it even though we don't anymore. I like doing one load a day because even though I am never completely done with it, we always have something clean to wear.

Did someone say laundry? Grrh. My least favorite household chore. I usually do my whites first, on Saturdays usually. Then on Sundays I do my colors, and line them up to dry. I like washing my towels, I recently started to use fabric softener and what a difference. My samples from pure essentials have gone a long way, the downy white lilac softener is magnificent. I think this weekend might be another laundry weekend, my hamper is overflowing.

No special routine. Sometimes it gets piled up, but I try to do it as is comes up. Actually, I have laundry everyday with 4 kids. So if I miss a day, it gets piled up. But since everything is on one floor, it is easy for me to do several loads and get it all done. Which is what I am doing today, since yesterday was Wed(busiest day of my week) and I don't know what I did Tuesday, but it sure wasn't laundry.
