I'v noticed that my routine from when I first started to stay home has gone from cleaning constantly (one room a day, one day a wk. for diy projects) to dishes and laundry everyday, rarely deep cleaning. I do flylady missions, but don't feel like I'm cleaning the whole house and no it is not decluttered...yet. I'm thinking of changing this routine though. How has yours changed and is it changing for the better?

I quit working when I found out I was pregnant, so technically I was a SAHM before my dd was born.

Since my dd arrived on the scene 8 years ago, my cleaning routine has gone downhill. I just can't seem to keep the house clean and it frustrates me. I don't know if it's a lack of time, lack of organization on my part, or the messiness of my dd. I swear, all that child has to do is stand in a room and the room seems to self-mess.

I'm considering creating a checklist of things that have to be done everyday, things that have to be done weekly, and things that have to be done once a month. Hopefully, that might get me a little more organized in the cleaning department.

If you do make a list you should post it.. it would help alot of people out. Martha Stewart put our a housekeeping book and it has a list but the book is $45.00. And always checked out at the library. Let us see your list when you create it. It will help out.

Yikes! I barely have a cleaning routine since DS was born in September. I have to work around him, so I do what I can when he lets me! Believe me, there is lots more I wish I could be doing, I just can't always find the time unless someone is keeping the baby for me.

My list is something like this:
Monday: vaccuum, dust, grocery shopping
Tuesday: clean patio and floors, water plants
Wednesday: clean counters, stove, table
Thursday: clean sinks, toilets, tub and shower, farmer's market
Friday: fridge/freezer, mirrors, laundry
Saturday: water plants
Sunday: plan menu, prepare lunches.

I need to make a new one to accomodate our house since we've moved.

I started staying home 3 yrs ago. My oldest just turned 1 and we were expecting #2.
I can say that I definetly spend less time on myself. Which is why I chopped my hair off again a couple months ago.
The house work has for sure changed. I spend alot more time cleaning up toys and vacuuming up cracker crumbs. I have always hated dishes so those pile up alot more since there are more people to cook for.
I have made cleaning schedules to try to make my days more productive, but I can't stick to schedules.
