Ok, just found some cute ideas online... I can't figure out how to post the pics though - so I'll try to explain them as best I can...
1. Little boy eating cookies off the plate! Milk half gone! Looking up with a shocked look on his face! Little bubble above him like he's thinking, it says... "Santa, I can explain..."
2. This 2nd one had 2 pictures one of each kid! The older kid was pouting, he didn't want his picture taken. The baby is crying. The quote says... "You'd better not pout, you'd better not cry"
3. Another card had 3 kids in the bathtub! They were leaning forward onto the side of the tub! They all had Santa hats on and bubbles on their chins! The caption said... "Wishing you bubbles of fun this holiday season"
4. Another card had 3 seperate pictures, 1 of each of their 3 kids! Each kid was holding a letter J O Y! You could spell out different things if you have more kids... Hope, Love, Peace...
5. SO cute - a baby in her crib with a red hat on and red converse plus a diaper of course. The caption said "Merry Christmas from our Crib to yours".
6. This one is the hardest one to explain... it's 3 kids sitting in front of the Christmas tree! The one in the center has a white sheet wrapped over his head. The two on the outside of blue sheets just over their shoulders (not sure why head vs. shoulders, but it's cute). They're all looking down at a white cake with a single candle lit on top! The caption said... "Remembering the reason for the season... Happy Birthday Baby Jesus". The lighting on this picture is SO cute!

Hi!
Another suggestion for holiday cards is AmazingMail - Home. This website allows you to upload and personalize various sizes of postcards, and then they even print and MAIL them for you...you just need to input the person's name and address. I have used this for several occaisions...shower invites, birthday cards, save the dates, and have been VERY pleased every time I have used them. Their prices vary depending on quantity, but a 4x6 postcard including postage is under $1 a piece if you order 50 or more. You purchase credits and the credits do not expire, so you do not have to use all of your "card credits" at once!

We put a super cute winter hat, gloves and cable knit sweater on my son. He stood in front of a white sheet for the actual photo. Then, we took a picture of glowing christmas lights, you can hardly tell what kind of lights they are when we are done. But, then DH cuts out my son from the white sheet and pastes him into the christmas lights back ground. (In photoshop)
It looks great!!!!
I too like the family photos, but I am preg. this year and did not want to stress about how fat I would look! LOL

Cute one I saw was Mom and Dad reading Twas the Night Before Christmas to the kids
Another was just the kids holding the beaters and smiling while making cookies.

We always do photo cards. For a few years, I only used a photo of my dd's, but relatives started complaining about wanting to see the whole family, too. (Is that just my relatives??) We've taken pictures in the forest, on our deck with a beautiful sunset backdrop, on the beach, in front of the Christmas tree, etc.

Since he was 3 (he's 8 now), ds had drawn and colored or painted a Christmas picture for our cards. I have the pic he makes printed on the front of the cards, and put a greeting inside. Several people have told me they look forward to getting his artwork, and have saved all the cards they have recieved.

I was just going to reply to this and I realized I did - two years ago! It's an old thread but still relevant.
We ordered photo cards again this year but for the last two years we've used snapfish. I mail some and then I create some for an e-mail photo card with a combo of photos to send out too.
