This may have been discussed before but I am new. I have a house full of hardwoods and I really need a GOOD mop. I like the microfiber but they don't seem to glide across my floor well. Any suggestions on a mop and cleaner?

We rent our home and our landlord told me to clean our hardwood with a mixture of half vinegar and half water. I put it in a spray bottle and either use the swiffer or get down on my hands and knees with a rag.

I currently use the swiffer mops or I also have an "O" Mop from Target. The "O" Mop is part of the Method cleaning products and they sell an Almond scented wood floor cleaner that works pretty well.

I didn't like the swiffer wet mopping system, it smelled weird to me, didn't do a good job etc

I just use a plain old sponge mop. I use vinegar and water in a bucket. I wet the mop and then wring it out until it's just damp, and then go over the floor with it. Works great for me.

I do the same as oregano. I never have tried the swiffer my MIL uses it thinks it is great but our socks are always nasty after we visit with her so obviously it is not working.
