I hang mine on the coat closet door in the living room...I'm looking for a big square basket to put behing an end table in the living room between the couch, the table and the wall to put my pures, kids tote bags for co-op and theatre and library bag...that way its handy but out of sight. I keep my planner and flight journal on the corner of bar in the kitchen.

In the laundry room by the door to the garage. The garage door is always down and it is not in view of anything so I feel it is pretty safe there.

When I take the extra leaf out of my dining room table, I end up with extra chairs. So a couple of the chairs are up against the wall and not at the table. One of those chairs has turned into my 'landing pad' for my purse, coat and stuff I want to remember to take with me when I go on errands. The chair can't be seen from any of the windows and isn't near a door.

I agree with you about being careful about what can be seen from the windows. We don't let any of our computers be seen from the windows either.

I have a stair basket I throw mine in. I used to hang on the back door too.

I hang it on a sturdy wooden clothes hanger and then hang that in our closet next to the garage.

I have been leaving mine, in my van in the garage for years! Even if I park out in the driveway - I leave it locked in the van. Its just easiest for me, to leave it there and Not forget it when I go out.

In the van in the garage also. I do bring it in if the van is parked outside, but then 80% of the time, i leave the house without it if I have brought it in!

Mine goes on the top of my dresser; if I leave it any other place my 2 year old likes to grab a piece of gum without me looking!
