I have a desk area in my kitchen, and that's where it ends up but I don't like it there because it's in full view of our class slider to our patio. It just makes me nervous. So sometimes I take it into my office and keep it in there. Often it's locked into my car, in our locked garage. LOL Dh doesn't like it when I do that though...

It needs a home! Where do you keep your purse at home?

I am lazy. I leave it in my van sometimes out in the garage, and that drives my husband nuts. I usually hang it on this hook by my front door. We keep our house locked up at all times though and have an alarm system that we got for FREE! So I am not worried. My house is like fort knox and I work for the sheriff's department. Break into my house and A. My children will scare you away. B. I will mace the hell out of someone C. I am itching to try out my red sox skills on a louisville slugger I keep by my bed. Bring it robbers!

I hear ya...and I used to believe that there was no way anything would be stolen from our home, we have an alarm, a big dog, I keep everything locked etc

Then my sister had her purse stolen off her dining room table. Despite an alarm (they cut the screen on an open window), two large dogs and her Dh who is a police officer. They were all home at the time as well and it happened at about 4PM. So I think it can really happen almost anywhere in a few seconds.

I know it is a possibility. I just figure if it happens, it happens and I hope that it won't. I just try to keep precautions by always locking our doors. I have a dog too but she is pretty dumb. She is a siberian husky and looks mean but she is a big baby. I think if someone was hurting us she would react but not if someone came into our house. Erin

Funny you posted this - I just thought last night how I don't like where I keep my purse! I have a bench where we sit to put our shoes on by the kitchen door and I put it on there. I guess I don't like it because it's right by the door and would be easy for someone to snatch while I'm upstairs or even in the livingroom.

My mom takes her purse up to bed with her every night and puts it on her night stand. Years ago a friend of hers lost their house in a fire and she said she missed her pictures and her purse because everything was in her purse. SO, my mom took that to heart and takes it up with her. I tried a few times making a habit of it but only ended up leaving the house without it.

We have hooks behind our bathroom door, so I hang my purse on one of those hooks.

We have hooks near the kitchen door (the one we always use) and when we come in the house all our jackets/coats/purses and bookbags hang there. It's just the easiest place for me b/c I see it when I'm getting ready to exit the house.

I've been trying to decide where to leave mine! Right now it gets carried in and left on the kitchen counter! Although it doesn't take up much space, everything else I carry in gets put there too and before long you can't see the counter anymore (and we don't have MUCH counter space to start with). I'm not too worried about it being stolen since it can ouly be seen from our back yard when the blinds are open and we usually keep our gate locked. I do move it to the laundry room though when we have some company over (sometimes for more counter space and sometimes for security reasons). I've thought about leaving it in the laundry room full time since we walk thru the laundry room to enter the house from the garage, but the laundry room is where we keep the litter box and I worry about it starting to stink!

Since my husband brings home his work laptop everyday and also leaves it on another section of the counter I've decided I need to find some sort of small cabinet to live in our room! We have a split level plan and the bedroom is about 2 steps further than walking to the kitchen! I want to be able to put my purse, keys, cell phone, etc in the bedroom and then my dh can put his laptop, etc there too! I also want to be able to close it up so the boys can't get into it!

Of course I still haven't found the perfect cabinet so we'll see!!

my husband gave me a place to put it in the closet, but it usually ends up on the floor of the living room or bedroom. but i don't really have anything in it. at present, there might be a lip gloss and a granola bar wrapper inside. if anything happened to it, i'd be more annoyed that i would need to buy another purse.

I leave mine in my van in the garage. We always keep our garage door down, so it's never been a problem.
