Ugh I need a break!

I just spent the last 3 hours cleaning out my girls' room. What a MESS. I took out 3 bags of garbage, and I have tons of stuff for Goodwill. Mostly stuffed animals and dolls. I cleaned off thier beds and changed thier sheets. But after 3 hours, I STILL havn't even gotten to the drawers or closets! Nor have I cleaned off the TOPS of the dressers. Where do we get some much 'stuff'???

I took a break to get some lunch and finnally take my shower. Then back to work I go. ugh!

I went through the same thing last spring with my dd's room. It took me about 4 1/2 hours to go through all her stuff!

Looking at my dd's cluttered room makes me long for the Laura Ingalls days where kids hardly had any toys. Nowadays kids have so many toys they'd make Nellie Olsen green with envy.

I feel your pain! There are a few spots in my house that need decluttered and the biggest one is my girls' room. I truly believe if I dug to the bottom of the toy box and grabbed a couple of toys I could wrap them up for Christmas and they wouldn't even know!! That's sad - but true.

LOL I"m back. I was working for another hour. Gosh I feel like I just can't make a dent! I'm trying to consolate them from 2 dressers to 1, Ugh what a PITN. There is just stuff everywhere.

Sounds like my dd, the worst part is she brings things home from other kid's houses, stuff that the other kid's parents are happy to give away.She brings it home to add to the stuff she already has too much of!

Wow I thought DS's room was a mess! I spent 45 minutes in there sorting through toys, trying to figure out what needed packed away for the next kid, what needed given away and what needed tossed (and a few things kept out). It's so nice to have it all contained -- but now I gotta get that stuff out of my house so it doesn't migrate back into his room.. LOL

but on a sidenote,, dont' happen to have a 'realistic' looking rabbit in there do ya? I'd be THRILLED to buy/trade/barter for it,,, if it's the right one *or close enough*

There's an Animal Alley, ToysRus rabbit at preschool that my daughter is IN LOVE with. I didn't see it when I got to go an hour and a half away to toysrus, but I'm wanting to find it somewhere! lol

I finnally had to stop. I'm STILL not done, but close to being done. I got most of the clothes switched out, and the beds made, but I still need to the dressers. Actually my mom needs to come help me because I"m giving one of the dressers to ds, hence the need to consolidate to one dresser. Not sure its going to work though..... I put all their undies and socks in thier plastic drawer things I had to organize thier closets.... Sam's is FULL. She has about 500 pairs of tights. LOL ( I have a severe tight fetish on my girlie) I saw some CUTE pink plastic ones at Walmart that I was gonna go and get, but I'm not in the mood or dressed to go out. LOL

But it does feel great to get rid of most of the junk!

And while I was as it, I needed yet another break from that room LOL I decided to clean up my desk. Needed it badly!! So while I watched General Hospital, my desk finnally got clean. I threw out total 4 bags of garbage today with my clean fest! Oh that sounds bad....
