I don't! I'm learning but there is so much. I've done a couple online courses and they've helped but I'd really like to take a regular class but everytime I've signed up for one it was cancelled.

I have a Canon S315 Powershot and would love to know what all my buttons are. Any classes that you know of for that?

Do you mean an S3 IS? I have the S2 IS and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I do know what all the buttons do. I have trouble making the manual focus work properly, but other than that it's a great camera. I recently discovered the color accent feature (the pic is in B&W except for whatever color you choose) and I think it's so cool! I've been having fun playing with that!

yes its IS not 5--LOL I am blind! Maybe thats why my pics don't work--yes I have figured out the color change but other things I don't know how to work. I have trouble getting good pics when I zoom.

On the display screen when you zoom you will see a column (from left to right) in the middle top of the screen. If it goes in to the blue DO NOT take the picture. IT WILL TURN out bad. Go as far as you can with the white bar only... Hope that explains it well enough

I found some information that may help you.

Several reasons for blur:
1. camera is shaking in your hands
2. subject is moving
3. incorrect focus

You may be able to fix 1 and 2 by using a faster exposure or using the flash. Learning to hold the camera better or using a tripod can also help with 1. If the problem is focusing, you need to more careful about how the autofocus system works: press the shutter button half way down and wait for the focus light to turn green.

I used to have a powershot and now have the XTi. Go into your menu in the powershot and turn OFF the digital zoom. Digital zoom wrecks pictures. Only use optical zoom and you will get much better results.

Good luck.

p.s. If you can't find how to turn off digital zoom let me know and I'll get out the camera and give you a step by step.
