Ok the Holidays are rolling around and I know that there are some crafty people out there planning on giving "handcrafted" gifts to friends and family.

Project for You:

Pm myself or jillypoo with your project and we will feature it in our "Project/Crafter of the Week". Get creative.
Send picture(s) of your projects along with instructions on how to make it. Tell us who you are making it for. How did you find the idea? Anything that you want to share about your crafting abilities....it will be your week to shine! And it doesn't have to be a gift whatever you like to make. If you want more than one project featured......go ahead the more ideas we can get the better!

I will start. I altered this coffee can into a bank for my 7 year old. I am going to cut 2 slits on top and put a divider in it so that she can seperate her "spending money" and her "saving money". I enjoy using paper crafting and find many many uses with it. I mostly do scrapbooking and card making but have been getting into different areas of it lately.

Supplies needed:
Coffee Can
Cardstock/Paper
Prima Flowers
Hot Glue Gun
Brads
Ribbon

Instructions:

Prearrange your pattern and glue and stick in place!

My neighbor wanted me to paint a tree on her door with her kids names on it.

Cory, Jake, Halen, Bryce are on the ribbon.

This is my door. A got the snowman idea from a Donna Dewberry book. Skip the hat, and anyone can do it. Blot on the snow with a plastic grocery bag. Use a little brush (or a q-tip if you're totally cheap) to put on the buttons, eyes, and mouth. Nose can be a round circle or a triangle like a carrot. If you buy red paint, you can do the scarf.

It all washes off with hot water and ammonia. Paint peels off in strips, use a credit card to scrape off the stubborn spots.

I made this for my house number. I'm not good with getting letters and numbers to be the same size.
