OK, I ALWAYS do this to myself. I think it would be soooo much fun to have everyone at our house for the holidays!!! Then, after I have everyone invited I make this huge list of things I want to accomplish before they all arrive. I then stress out over everything because I have no time to do it all.

Now, we are in the middle of a basement renovation and some minor kitchen renovation projects. I am being told that they will be done before Thanksgiving, but what about the rest of the things that need to be done here!!?!?!? AGH!

I am trying to get things organized, we have been in the house for about 4-5 months now....you would think that we would have places for our stuff by now. But, no, now I have piles of things!! I have a pile for garage sale, a pile of old baby stuff that will be put to use again in March, I have the Christmas stuff in another pile because it will be coming back out very soon. Plus, I am in desperate need of shelving for my son's toys........they are every where!!

And to top it off, I am 5 month's pregnant with no energy left to do anything.
Sorry, I just had to vent.

I think you are being too hard on yourself. I think it's nice of you to offer to have everyone at your house for the holiday considering all you have going on! Just do the things that are truly important, no one really cares if your home is perfect. The most important thing is just to relax and enjoy the time you have together!

Oh my word girl! I agree with Georgia_mom.. everyone knows you're doing renovations. Take it easy and don't stress yourself out too much. Do what needs to be done and close the door to the other rooms As for storage for your son's toys, grab a few laundry baskets from the $1 store and throw them all in there. Easy to clean up, quick to move around, and it's all contained in one spot.
