I posted back a week, probably two, in the simple living section about my idea of taking pictures with my digital camera of my house. I've decided since then that I should probably move that thread down here!

Well comparing the pictures there is improvement though there is still a lot to be done. Now the pictures are not completely fair because the first time around I took them when the house was totaled out!

This past week I had hung curtains in my laundry / back porch and cleaned and organized it yesterday -- so I was really excited to see the difference! Wow! It was an amazing transformation! It also is interesting to notice the little details. Things that I don't notice when I'm just walking through will totally stand out in a photo. For instance, I have large pad of paper next to my washing machine. It normally sits up against the wall but had fallen over. When I walked through the room I hardly noticed it. But in that photograph it stood out like a sore thumb.

It is interesting.

Again, I'm NOT posting these pictures online. Cleaning and home organization is not my thing and I'm attempting to change that. I won't say that I'm "dirty" but I am very cluttered.

OH man i thought we were going to see some pictures. I do understand not wanting to post them though. I wouldn't either.

Good for you though for decluttering.

Me too! I scrolled down and said "Where are the pictures?"

I'm doing a lot of decluttering and I might post some before and after pics. But don't hold me to this, mainly because I haven't really figured out how to post pics yet.

Those pictures are a good motivational tool. I need to do that here. One of my daughters friends when asking her parents if my girls could come over to her house to play told her dad that it didn't matter if their house was a mess because it looked just like ours.
