I dabble with it. I was big into it about 5 years ago but now I have been picking up on it again. I am a Daughter of American Revolution and my mom is really big into exploring more into it.

What a cool site! I know in my area that a lot of people use the Latter Day Saints church to help with their research needs.

My dad started to a few years ago. I want to continue- though have not made it a priority.
I have talked with my grandmothers and MIL and have written down the names/births/marriages etc. they they all can remember.

I did five 5 generation scrapbooks a couple of years ago (still working on journaling) and got caught up in it. Then, I discovered how much work it was and stopped doing it. I would love to continue one day but scrapbooking the present is my passion.

My mom and her aunt are like gung ho about this. At first I thought it was strange, but now I'm glad they're documenting things about our family's history. My aunt is really good about making sure everything is documented and labeled clearly, which is awesome. I thought about doing a family tree book or something - working with my mom and aunt when they get done figuring everything out.

I've been to the Pottawattamie County site. I grew up in Pott. Co. and so did my MIL. Thanks for all the work you do on the site. It is wonderful.

I've been doing a little bit at a time, just having stuff written down. My aunt (dad's sister) has done tons of geneology on that side of the family and even went to Ireland to visit "long lost relatives". She even discovered we are related to a well-known political family here in the US...hehe.

I'm glad there's others interested! I got started because my family did not keep good records, nor could they remember a lot of information. I'm still stuck on one line of the family just 3 generations back because no one ever wrote anything down, and the people that could tell me are now gone. But, I have had a lot of fun tracking down information about a lot of interesting people I never knew about, it can be addicting.
