Default Technique of the week: Fill Flash

You know how even on those bright, sunny days you end up with shadowy faces or areas in your photos? Try a fill flash! If you can adjust the strength of your flash, great! But if not, you can still try this out. Take a photo (maybe the kids under a tree in your yard?) and see the dark, shadow area? Now, turn on the flash and try it again. It should have helped brighten the area so that there aren't shadows. I'll be posting my before and after pictures later tonight!! Play around, I'd love to see what you come up with!!

Is there a certain setting we need to have our cameras on to do this...or just auto? I don't have a fancy schmancy camera like the one you're holding in your avatar so does that mean I can't play? LOL
