I know, there is like 3 foot of snow on the ground and it's only January but I'm allowed to daydream about those happy, warm days in my garden.

So where is your garden spot?

Mine is in our back yard almost dead center. It was there when we moved in. Perfect spot, full sun. Of course we later learned that was the previous owners' volleyball court! I did wonder why there was so much sand when we moved in! Though truthfully it was a little too small for volleyball. This year we're pretty much planning on doubling the graden.

I'm also planning on planting some greenbean in the front yard -- large climbing ones. I think they'll make a great hedge.

Man, I wish spring would come.

Me too. I love spring. We usually grow a small vegetable garden and then I grow some hosta and other flowers. Oh the pictures in my mind. I probably have daydreamed about my yard more than anything. I even like mowing the grass. I have had some birds coming by lately, oh I love that too. We usually have a couple nest a year in the hanging planter on the front porch.

I am going to try my hand at veggie gardening this spring. I am going to do a raised garden in my backyard. Just gotta think up a way to keep the dog and animials and bugs out of it.

Our veggie garden is in the only spot that gets full sun all day - in the front yard of the empty lot beside our home (we own it.)

I have flower beds around the whole house, some are raised.

I am going to be planting an herb garden this summer near my kitchen door.

We don't have a "plot" for a garden, so I use a small space above ground on our back patio. Kevin made it bigger for me this fall, because I passed the "Will You Take Care of a Garden?" test last year. I have some large pots that I got for Mother's Day a couple years ago and never used, so I am going to use them for something and definitely flowers this time.

I'm trying to talk him into making me a window box for our big front window, but I'm not sure that's going to happen.

The last couple days, the way the sun shines in the windows and it's not been a cool here, it has already begun feeling like spring. I love winter, but I think I could give up another month or two of winter for an early spring, lol.

I'm usually ready for spring come February but with the kids being sick so much this year ... I'm ready for spring now! I wish I would get some more seed catalogs. Looking at them online just isn't the same.

Well I'm hoping that I can get my MIL on board for gardening this year as once she's for it, FIL really doesn't have much of a say! LOL (they're our landlords; we rent on their property) I want to do square foot gardening this year, as FIL can't mow over it if it's in a box right? I'm excited to garden with DS this spring too. I can't wait to get gutters on our place so I can plant flowers outside in front of the house. I'm almost ready to nail them on myself (ha! that would never be allowed!) b'c it's been 3 years with no fulfilled goal of putting them up.
