We have all cordless phones in the house - 4 handsets (1 on 2nd Floor, 2 on 1st Floor and 1 in Basement).

Problem...we're really bad about hanging them up! LOL! Right now I have no idea where my kitchen cordless phone is - I'm sure it's dead right now, because I can't even buzz it to locate it.

At our old house we had a corded/installed wall phone in the kitchen, in addition to the cordless phones. I'm seriously considering having Dh install one!

Around here, the phone rings and everyone pricks up their ears like beagles...and the race is on - where's the phone?!?

Thats our house too! Except I only have 2 handsets one for main floor and upstairs! Honestly I am the only one that really uses the phone so its all me, setting them down wherever and then not being able to find

I can totally relate! We have a cordless phone upstairs, on the main floor, and downstairs. And they are never where they are suppose to be! Thankfully, the receiver on the main floor has a speaker phone that I can answer and I have had to do that many times until I could find the dang phone. The smartest thing I ever did was buy a main cordless phone with additional handsets that all work together. Now I can just hang any phone up on any receiver, rather then bring each phone to the right place!

We have a cordless phone in the kitchen/family room area and then a corded phone in our bedroom. We need for hurricane purposes. If the electricity is out for days/weeks, we will still have a phone. We have a car charger for our cell phones for the same reason.

This is so me and then by the time I answer I can't breathe because I'm usually running up and down stairs looking for it.
We have cordless in our bedroom and kitchen and a corded one in the office.

I wated to thank oregano for starting this thread!!

We Have Been Having the " hang the Phone On The Hook " Battle For years!!
It is A Major stress Not Being able to Find the Phone when its Ringing away

When I read your Post - I thought " DUH!!!" We need a Corded phone in the kitchen!!

I saw the Perfect set this past weekend at sears. - I like to Get Matching sets! This one the Main Base is Corded with answering Machine/caller ID then there are two Cordless handsets!!

We are Going shopping Again Next weekend and We are going to Get this one.
One less stress in my life!
I Kid you not - its a Daily Battle Getting my kids to Return the Phone and I Admit I will also chat and Continue on with my housework. and Leave it "somewhere" In the House.

Another thing, In Power outages - a Cordless Doesn't Work , so There is another reason a Corded phone would Be Great!!
