I don't have many cookbooks but I haven't figured out a really good way to store them so they're easily accessible. I have them in the cupboard above the desk area in my kitchen. I have to admit, I probably could organzie the cupboard a little better, move the shelves so the books could be upright, instead of on their sides...that might make it easier.

What do you do?

I was just thinking the same thing. In our new house I will have a pantry so I think I'll keep them there. Right now they are in an all purpose closet. I will be going through them and all the cooking magazines and tossing some.

We renovated the kitchen last year and I added a skinny cabinet w/three shelves just for cookbooks. I have a dozen or so Everyday Food magazines in there, tabbed w/recipes. I don't throw them out because I do grab them and go through them again.

I Store Most in an Upper Cabinet - But the two I use all the time , I simply have them standing in between my Bill organizer basket and my Canister set.

I have a 6 ft tall book shelf full of them next to the kitchen. The two cookbooks I use most are in the kitchen, one in the spice cabinet (Joy of Cooking) and one in the space next to my microwave (that one is my binder with printed recipes from the internet and recipes of my own I have printed in there)

I had dh remove the cabinets door over the ref and put the ones that I rarely use up there. I painted the inside of the cabinets and they look really pretty up there.

I also have a bakers rack in the dinning room and the ones that i use all of the times are on the bottom shelf there. I also have a couple of the old white enameal cookware, like the beanpot, and have some of the antique cookbooks in there for decoration.

I used to keep them all on the baker's rack in the kitchen, but they were taking too much space. I have now moved them all to the bookshelf in my office (which is on the main floor) and kept just 2 that I reference the most in the kitchen.
