Hi, I am new to this forum and I have come with a question. I am looking for a good place to buy fabric, cotton fabric, I am wanting it to make a shopping cart cover for a friend of my expecting her third baby boy. I was hoping to find some place online, but have had no luck. I may have to venture out to the local hobby lobby or something, but with little ones to tag along, it's easier to shop online. Anyone have any suggestions? thanks in advance!

Good question to ask!!!
My son just dreads it when we go to JoAnns or the like. He knows I'll be walking in circles for a while.

I know there are places online and once in awhile Hancocks sends me a free shipping which is very tempting, especially for basic fabrics like cotton, fleece, or flannel but for the most part I prefer shopping in the stores. Though sometimes when I'm looking for speciality fabric (My Little Pony) the internet is the best I can do! There is eBay as well but I don't think the prices are worth it once you add it shipping.

I order fabric from these places regularly:

Fabric.com: Fabric - Discount Fabric - Apparel Fabric - Home Decor Fabric - Quilting Fabric - Save up to 70% - Fabric.com

Catalog: Cotton Prints

Fabric By The Yard. Fabrics at Wholesale Prices

Fabric.com and Fabric Mart both have first time buyer deals. All three have sales, coupons, etc that you get by signing up for their e-mail list.

This place is pricier, but has a huge selection and a pretty big clearance section:

Hancock's of Paducah - The world's foremost supplier of fine fabrics and notions.

Hope this helps.

JoAnn Fabrics is online as well - Joann.com. If you sign up for their email list, they send a coupon every week; usually for free shipping on orders over $35 or a discount on any one item (usually 40%, but it varies).
