I decided this new year I'm going to delegate more. I've decided:

#1 Whoever gets out of bed last makes it. Usually it's me but on a few days during the week and the weekends, dh is up last. He was up last today and I just nicely asked him - can you make the bed if you are the last up? He did and it freed up a few minutes for me!

#2 On the weekends every one puts away their own laundry. I don't mind when no one is home, I do it because I want it done. But on the weekend, everyone is going to put away their own laundry.

#3 I asked ds, 6, to make his bed each morning. All he needs to do is pull up the blanket because he doesn't use a comforter.

#4 Before he goes to bed, ds cleans his own bathroom sink and countertop with a baby wipe, and also rinses off his toothbrush and hangs up towels properly (we'll see how that one goes!)

#5 Before dinner, with my help if he needs, ds will decide on his own lunch and make it.

I need to think of more, but I'm happy with the ones I've decided on.

Great plan! I hope it works out for ya. I ask dh everyday to make the bed as I get up WAAAY before he does, he never does it. My kids are very good about putting away thier own laundry though, so that is a help.
