My dishwasher is leaving dried food bits on my glasses. It's pretty gross. Has anyone else had this problem?

Try cleaning out the filter in the bottom. This happened with our nasty apartment dishwasher and it helped a bit.

Yes, the filter on the bottom, and the vent in the door..both with buildup could cause this. Whirlpool only recommends powders (specifically Cascade) for their dishwashers. It could also occur if your hot water heater is set to below 120. BUT you have to make sure the water coming out of your tap is 120, not just the water heater. Our water heater is in the front, in the garage, and our kitchen is in the back of the house. Water heater is 120, but the temp at the faucet was 110. So we had to turn it up. I asked, "Isn't that what the dishwasher is s'posed to do? Heat the water, especially if I use that cycle?" Well, yeah, but with the energy saving features, it doesn't do it well." was the response.

Also, try running through an empty dishwasher once a month with a bowl of vinegar sitting the bottom rack - that's supposed to clean it.

I also run my dishwasher once a month empty with TANG, yep the drink!

I also make sure that all of my dishes are rinsed and scraped off of food, and because my water is hard, i have to use jet dry!
