I may have missed it, but I'm looking for someone to give me possibly some books I could get at the library with instructions on how to make a braided rag rug. Or some websites that show good instruction. The ones I have come across are pretty vague with instructions. I've always loved the way they look and would love to put some of my extra material to good use. I just don't know how to go about it. Any suggestions?

My grandma was always making these when she was alive. Sometimes she would coordinate her colors other times not, she made all different sizes to. I did come across a website that did show pictures on it and the instructions didn't seem that bad I didn't read them thru completely.

Rug braiding instruction.

My grandmother made a lot of braided rugs in her day...they are still going strong and look great! It's a dying art, that's for sure.

I don't know of any books, but I googled and there are quite a few sites out there with detailed instructions. Maybe try that?
