Our community has one down at the fairgrounds but we do not do it. It is kind of a mad dash, big kids knocking the little kids down, who can get the most eggs -- I know my kids wouldn't do well in that environment.

So it looks like we'll be in our back yard this year. Which is great. Our back yard was a large reason we bought the house.

Usually we try and go to the fire department that my dh works at but since it is so early this year we keep missing all of the area ones because we are so busy!

My MIL does do one in the house which the girls love so they will have to do it that way.

The Easter Bunny leaves eggs hidden around (inside & outside) the house for the kids to find when they wake up, so they have a mini one then. We try to get together with SIL and her kids sometime around Easter to have one. Other than that, we just hide eggs for the kids over and over for them to find over and over.

We are taking them to an Easter Egg hunt at church (they divide it by age groups which is nice). They are also going to an Easter party at the club we belong to. Sometimes they have an egg hunt, sometimes not (weather permitting).

The Easter bunny will also hide eggs in our yard for Easter afternoon.

This is the first year Noah is able to do anything like this cause hes only 18 months old. The easter bunny is gonna hide some plastic eggs for him to find. They will probally be empty which he wont mind he just likes to find things and hes great at it. His Big dilema will be what to do when his hands are full. He tries to pick up toys and leaves when his hands are full he is starting to understand he has to put one down.

We have never been to the one that the town puts on here, but I think weather permitting we will try it. Also, my son's Christian Academy puts on one (just found out about it) so if it is ok for his brothers to come too than we will go to that one too. For sure we will do one here at home. We have a large yard so it would be fun. This year, I am doing plastic eggs with small treasures in them. I am not even going to mess with decorating real ones-I know bad mommy!! My kids havent even mentioned decorating eggs. I do not think that they are that into it either.

I have put on a HUGE Easter Egg Hunt for the last four years. We will be having our fifth this coming Saturday. I have it at my in-laws property because it is beautiful. We have about 30 kids every year.

We put out over 1000 eggs, have games, bounce house, face painting, crafts, bubbles and side walk chalk. This year i am also having a local piano man come and play for a half hour.

It's a blast for everyone.

Tell me ... what do you do with a 1000 eggs? Do you decorate them?
