I did not make this design but I thought I might try to make something similar for my daughters. From what I read online I would need some fabric glue, sealant or decoupage seal, ribbon and embellishments. Any advise on what else I might need. These sell for $30-$60 online and I thought I could make a pair for under $20 for fun. Here is a link to what I was going to try to do. I am a beginner crafter so any advise would be great

They are very cute ... but I don't see that bottom ribbon staying on very long -- even with glue. But it always is worth trying something out!

I read that you could use some decoupage clear coat to hold the ribbon on.
I am trying to get a free pair of shoes off of freecycle so I can play with this idea
