Fess up, just about everyone has one or a place such as a closet or a dresser top that accumulates junk.
For me it is a small part in one of my kitchen drawers or the top of my dresser. Yesterday though I decluttered it and it sure looks nice and I swear that this time it's going to stay that way! RIGHT!!!! It probably won't!!

Pour out the contents of the junk drawer, closet, dresser top or whatever you use. You might want to dump out the contents on newspaper to protect whatever surface you may be working on. Don't get discouraged as you look at your pile. In just a few easy steps your drawer is going to undergo a dramatic makeover.

1. Dump Out the Junk.
2. Throw Away Trash
3. Take Out What Doesn't Belong
4. Sort Everything Else
5. Find A Drawer Divider
6. Sort the Items Into the Organizer
7. Enjoy and Maintain Your New Drawer, closet, dresser top, etc.

The problem with me tossing our the junk drawer is I need to toss my husband with it! Every house that we have had he has made a junk drawer and he throws EVERYTHING in it! I told him when we moved into this house that we weren't going to have one -- well we have one. Now, whenever he's in it, he tells me, "We really should get rid of this thing." Grrr!

I'll try cleaning it out today.

We have one junk drawer in the kitchen. Well 2 but one is DH's that holds tools that don't fit in his tool box. Seems I declutter the junk drawer all the time and it just keeps getting junked again. I need to put a lock on it LOL. P.S. I don't touch the junk/tool drawer!

I no longer have a junk drawer. My husband is the problem in our house, too. I have an old milk crate at the garage door, when he starts bringing stuff in the house that doesn't belong I put it in that crate. I don't really care what his garage looks like

I have a junk drawer in the kitchen with dh's tool in it, also. He goes through it once in a while and puts half the junk in the basement. I have tried to clean his tool room in the basement but there is too much stuff.

Yes we do have a junk drawer and a tool drawer in the kitchen. Plus our bedroom seems to be the "junk" room. Everything seems to end up in there if it can't find a home.
