While I have been busy decluttering other areas of my home this week I was sad to realize this morning as I looked in my pantry that it's been neglected.

It needs a major decluttering and some type of organization!!!

How do you organize yours?

My "pantry" is just a large cabinet in my kitchen next to the fridge. I group together like items:
Pasta, noodles & pasta sauce
Can food
Crackers, granola bars
Flour, Sugars, Rice
Applesauce, fruit, pudding cups
Tea Bags, extras of condiments

I have several areas but I really just treat them all the same...like items on the same shelf or in the same area - cans all in one place, liquids (oils, vinegars, syrups etc) all in one place, pasta/rices all in one area. I do keep all my baking stuff in one area.

I have canned veg and boxed potatoes and rice on top shelf

Canned soup and fruits on second shelf.

Extra oil coffee and condiments on third & forth shelf.

I have a basket that i keep cookie mix, cornbread mixes and muffins mixes

And a basket for gravy mixes.

My pantry is just shelves in my laundry room. I put my canned veggies and homemade spag sauce and tomato soup on the top shelf (and after canning season takes up most of the second shelf too. I try to keep all fruit cans together, veggie cans together and spaghetti-o's and soup together. Then the bottom shelf has my boxes of stuff - macaroni, etc. and vinegar and oil jugs that won't fit anywhere else.

Thanks everyone for your input on organizing my pantry. Since my kitchen doesn't have that many cupboards a few years back we purchased one of those laundry type storage units that resembles the cabinet in the picture below on the far left side. It is tall doesn't reach the ceiling, is a oak color and has 6 semi-deep shelves in it, 1 solid door. I tried taking a pic. of it, but it didn't work, so I found this one. I'm beginning to think that I need another one of them, the way the kids eat!
